We stayed in Mt Gambier, which is about a 30-45 minute drive from Coonawarra, but Simon was still able to pick us up, in a new, very comfortable car which made the journey that much more enjoyable. His knowledge of and passion for the area was evident, and he is clearly a well known and well respected local. The wineries were thoughtfully selected according to our individual wine preferences, and each cellar door was expecting us and welcomed us warmly as we entered. Simon had arranged a delicious platter for lunch at Brand's and a sit down with the winemakers at Raidis, whose company we enjoyed so much we kept Simon for an extra hour! Would highly recommend Coonawarra Experiences for your next trip to the region - I know we'll be back!

Check in to our beautifully appointed guest apartment in the heart of Penola, “A Coonawarra Experience”. This one-bedroom accommodation offers a private, comfortable stay, and includes everything you need to enjoy your relaxing escape in Coonawarra wine country.
The next day, your experienced local guides at Coonawarra Experiences will introduce you to the best of wine country and beyond, with a tailored itinerary that allows you to discover the cellar doors, restaurants and local sights that will best suit your style and pace of adventure in the beautiful wine region that we call home.
Our tour is a full-day experience that allows you to meet the winemakers of Coonawarra’s famous Terra Rossa strip, and enjoy intimate private tasting sessions with your hosts. We'll have a delicious lunch in the region and take in a spot of local sightseeing along the way.
We work closely with our friends at Coonawarra's cellar doors to provide you with a unique hosted experience that you couldn't recreate on your own.
