Our Coonawarra Highlights wine tour is perfect for the wine traveller who wants to experience a cross-section of our iconic cellar doors but in a limited time frame. We’ll take you in comfort and style along the famous “Terra Rossa” strip, taking in the vineyards as they race past your window.

You’ll feast on sumptuous produce platters, meet and chat with the winemakers and perhaps go behind the scenes and enjoy a barrel tasting or two. We’ll illustrate the history of the region and show you the unique nature of the red soil over ancient limestone.

A fantastic day with what seems like an old friend
Thanks so much Simon and Kerry, you both made our trip to the Coonawarra so memorable. These guys are so focused on their customers enjoyment of the region, it’s really impressive. Due to COVID and a few family hiccups we had to make a few changes but nothing fazed these guys, it was all about us having a great visit to the Coonawarra. The five wineries we visited were so accommodating and lunch at Chardonnay Lodge with Margaret was the highlight. Well done Simon and Kerry, we will see you again.

Tour Details

Your small tour group will visit 3-4 of Coonawarra's best cellar doors, meet the winemakers, and enjoy intimate private tasting sessions with your hosts. We'll have a delicious lunch in town and take in a spot of local sightseeing along the way.

We work closely with our friends at Coonawarra's cellar doors to provide you with a unique hosted experience that you couldn't recreate on your own.

The exact locations may vary depending on the day, but we always use our extensive local knowledge and connections to create a memorable experience for you.

We usually make it to 3-4 cellar doors located along Coonawarra's "Terra Rossa" strip.

You can suggest your favourite cellar doors, or we can tailor the day to suit your wine preferences. The region produces everything from crisp whites to big bold reds at iconic cellars doors or intimate family owned and operated wineries.
