It’s taken us a while to realise it’s okay to acknowledge when you’ve done a good job.
Last week, we hosted a lovely couple from Germany on their first trip to Australia. We thought they’d enjoyed their stay and their tour around the region, but finding their message in our guestbook confirmed it.
It’s a pretty great feeling to know we’ve helped make part of their trip memorable.

Had a great day out hosting this couple visiting the region from Sydney. It’s always great to welcome guests from NSW, but what really stood out was why they chose to stay on the Limestone Coast.
They are in South Australia for LIV Golf and decided to extend their trip with a few days exploring our region, self-driving from Adelaide to here. After Penola/Coonawarra, they head to Mount Gambier for a couple of nights to enjoy all that there is on offer there.
It’s a great reminder of how valuable these major SA events are, not just for Adelaide, but for the entire state, and why it’s so important we continue to nurture and make the most of these opportunities.
The best part? They’re already planning a return journey via the Great Ocean Road and want to bring friends next time.

We recently hosted a private tour for four guests from the USA visiting Coonawarra for the first time. With superb weather setting the scene, the highlight was a behind-the-scenes, back-of-house winery tour hosted by Dan Redman at Redman Wines.
