AFL Gather Round continues to deliver big for our region in 2025.
Yesterday, I had three separate couples on tour—none of whom had met before—and within minutes, they discovered a shared story: all had attended Gather Round, caught multiple games, soaked up the atmosphere at the Norwood Wine & Food Festival, and some had squeezed in a visit to McLaren Vale between matches.
Each of them had nothing but praise for the event’s organisation and the overall vibe, with one shared sentiment: “We hope it never leaves Adelaide.”
We couldn’t agree more. Hats off to the Malinauskas Government for curating such an incredible celebration of footy—fans were beaming, and we tour operators were pretty thrilled too.
We also had a bit of fun at Raidis Estate - not a bad grab from the man playing in front!
Already counting down to next year.

Gather Round has kicked goals across SA – not just in Adelaide, but right here in downtown Coonawarra! 🏉🍷
We’ve had the pleasure of hosting some wonderful footy fans on their way to the big games, and this lucky couple from Melbourne enjoyed a private tour with a touch of red carpet hospitality at @zemaestate.
A huge thank you to Winemaker Joe Cory, who welcomed our guests with a behind-the-scenes tour of the winery, shared his passion for Coonawarra reds and highlighted some small batch ferments that`s currently being worked on.
