Coonawarra Experiences Nature Fund Grant Success – Unearthing South Australia’s Limestone Coast
Coonawarra Experiences is thrilled to announce its successful application for funding through the South Australian Government’s Experience Nature Tourism Fund. The grant, valued at $50,000, will support the launch of two exciting new tours in the coming months: Caves and Coast and Culture and Caves, which will explore the remarkable natural beauty and rich cultural history of the Limestone Coast region.
These new offerings will provide visitors with a unique opportunity to immerse themselves in the Limestone Coast’s stunning national parks, highlighting its iconic coastal and caves landscapes. As part of this initiative, Coonawarra Experiences will acquire a brand new 300 series Toyota LandCruiser and additional equipment to enhance guest comfort, alongside marketing activities to promote the tours.
“We are delighted to be part of this incredible programme that supports tourism operators in bringing innovative, nature-based experiences to life,” said Kerry Meares, Director of Coonawarra Experiences. “This grant allows us to expand our services, sharing the Limestone Coast’s natural and cultural treasures with even more visitors.”
The Experience Nature Tourism Fund, managed by the South Australian Tourism Commission, is part of a $2 million commitment by the Malinauskas government to unlock the state’s tourism potential. The third round of the fund has allocated over $500,000 to 13 businesses across South Australia, supporting projects that range from guided tours in national parks to e-bike adventures and nature-based luxury experiences.
Minister for Tourism Zoe Bettison stated, “The Experience Nature Tourism Fund is helping unlock our state’s tourism potential, giving visitors even more reasons to choose South Australia. Sharing our state’s incredible natural landscapes, rich cultural history, and stunning wildlife in a responsible and sustainable way is what this fund is all about.”
